Michael Patrick O'Leary – blog

Darren Ching posted me as today’s PDN photo of the day for my Urban Jungle [elephant] image. Thanks Darren.

I had the pleasure of photographing Hollis Roberts a couple months back. She’s doing some pretty original stuff with that violin. You tube clip here. A big thanks to the folks at Area 405 for the great deal on the location.
Happy New Year.
another find from within the walls of our new home. This project is taking over my life for the moment and maybe the next couple months. My prediction is that blog posts will be less frequent in the beginning of 0-10, but I’ll try to dig into the archives if postings get scarce. Hopefully your new year is looking more promising than those poor dead squirrels.

A final post for 0-9. We slipped away from all this snow for the holidays. It was a nice break hanging in 60 degree weather for the holiday week. I love the beach in the winter time. So quiet and deserted. The sea foam was abundant on Christmas Day. This meets my self inflicted quota of 52 posts for the year. Slipped it in there right at the end. It’s real challenge coming up with something relevant or interesting once a week to share. I’m not sure how some people do it daily.

You know, for all the critisism I give to the G-10, I must say I’m always really impressed with it’s close focus. Here’s some of the snow we had dumped on us here on the east coast this past weekend at about .25 inches from lens under that beautiful Baltimore sodium vapor with a touch of maglight to help the translucent glow. Click image for closer look.

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to post. I’ve been trying to prepare for the holidays, and had a couple jobs get squeezed in before the end of the year. The family and I are also moving, so trying to get the lender’s every piece of financial information I own has sucked up any spare time I may have had. Here in the mid-atlantic we got pumled with about 2 feet of snow. The perfect excuse to drop everything and get out to play for a change. We sledded, shoveled and retreated for grill cheese sammy’s and tomato soup. Haven’t had a good “snow in” in quite a while a while. I must say it was very welcomed.
